Dunebrook’s mission is to advocate for children and to provide positive family support and education. Since founding in 1989, we have helped thousands of children, parents and families strengthen their relationships with one another. We offer a variety of programs for families including Nurturing Families, Healthy Families and Maternal Infant Early Childhood. We are also a child advocacy center providing a child-focused, child-friendly community partnership dedicated to pursuing the truth in child abuse investigations and victim advocacy. Our Public Education team provides Safer Smarter Kids and Teen Body Safety, a prevention and education program that reaches school-aged children that their bodies belong to them and that they have the right to say “NO” to a touch to their private parts for “no good reason or just to play a game.” We also provide Stewards of Children Training, which is a revolutionary sexual abuse prevention training program that educates adults and prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse, and motivates them to courageous action. We are also in the ninth school year of the Westville Little School Pilot Project, which provides kindergarten readiness to children eligible to attend Westview School District. The project is a collaborative program partnership between Dunebrook and Westville Schools. Our calendar of events for 2022 can be found on our website .
Dunebrook, Inc. (LaPorte/Porter Counties) Council has been a PCAIN Chartered Council since 1989. The two counties merged to form one Council in 2018.
Meetings are held at 4:30 p.m. on the 3rd Thursday each month at the Dunebrook office.
