Dunebrook’s mission is to advocate for children and to provide positive family support and education. Since founding in 1989, we have helped thousands of children, parents and families strengthen their relationships with one another. We offer a variety of programs for families including, Nurturing Families, Healthy Families, Community Partners for Child Safety, Early Head Start, and Parents as Teachers. We are also a child advocacy center providing a child-focused, child-friendly community partnership dedicated to pursuing the truth in child abuse investigations and Body Safety, a prevention and education program that teaches elementary school-aged children that their bodies belong to them and that they have the right to say “NO” to a touch to their private parts for “no good reason or just to play a game.”

Dunebrook is also the Parents As Teachers Program State Leader for Indiana, providing consultation and networking opportunities and coordinating ongoing training.

Our calendar of events for 2012 includes :
     • January to December 2012 – Various health fairs, chamber events, speaking engagements throughout the region
     • April 2012 – Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month Activities 
           WEFM Radio Broadcast from Dunebrook 
           Tag Day (to coincide with radio broadcast) 
           Blue Ribbon & Pinwheel Campaign (specifics to be determined)
     • May 2012 – Annual Meeting
     • June 2012 – Annual Golf Outing
     • August 2012 – Annual Program “Graduation” (A farewell event for families who have completed our home visitation programs and will move on to kindergarten, Head Start, etc.)
     • August 2012 – Back to School Fairs
     • August 2012 – Grand Prix Boat Race Events
     • September 2012 – Annual Gala Fundraising Event
     • October 2012 – WEFM Radio Broadcast from Dunebrook
