2009 Activities:
• Complied and delivered Hospital Packets to new mothers at Methodist Northlake in early 2009 and St Catherine Hospital at the end of 2009
• Continued Billboard Campaign – sponsored four (4) billboards per month linking domestic abuse to child abuse, linking what happens at school to what happens in the home, and encouraging fathers to care for their children
• Presented Shaken Infant Presentations to parent and school groups throughout Lake County
• Co-sponsored April Child Abuse Prevention Forum in conjunction with IUN and other organizations – serving 300+ people
• Board member spoke on local TV program to raise awareness of April Child Abuse Prevention Month and Forum
• Expanded the April Faith Initiative contact to include a greater number of churches
• Sponsored April Coloring Contest to raise awareness of child abuse and neglect
• Participated in Speak Up for a Child event at juvenile justice center in April
• Participated in and co-sponsor of April Child Abuse Prevention Event at Avalon Manor
• Sponsored a RailCats game fundraiser in June
• Participated in Scherrville National Night Out Against Crime – distributed literature and displayed Shaken Infant demonstration doll

Meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of each month (expect July and December)
