Prevent Child Abuse Indiana works hard to prevent abuse and neglect through education and community connections. We are pleased to present our Annual Regional Luncheon/Workshops on the theme of:

"Keeping Up With Social Media"

Workshop Description for Speaker, Joan Knies: Joan will be giving an overview of "social media" computer and smart phone apps as: Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, etc. She will share what youth are currently using and also some very important tips on digital citizenship/safety. She will provide terminology and lots of resources to use to continue personal learning. The more we know about technology, the more we can do to protect children and ultimately prevent abuse of all types.

Workshop Description for Speaker, Eric Tamashasky: "Cyber-safety and Cyber-crimes" will address ways to improve the safety of people online and the perils of social media specifically involving children.
