Vigo County

The C.A.R.E. Council of Vigo County (Collaboration, Advocacy, Resources and Education) is a diverse group of volunteers who promote community collaboration to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families.

Our belief is that by joining efforts to promote public awareness and interventions/support services, we can promote healthy families while also preventing cases of child abuse and neglect.

The C.A.R.E. Council meets every other month (Feb, April, June, August, Oct, Dec) on the first Monday at 12:00 noon at the First Congregational Church (630 East Ohio Street, Terre Haute IN).

NEXT MEETING:

Monday, Dec 5, noon to 1pm

Our activities take place primarily in April (Child Abuse Prevention Month) and include:

  • Pinwheels for Prevention Campaign

  • Parent University (parenting related presentations with child/family professionals)

  • Our pancake breakfast fundraising event
