Our mission is to prevent all forms of child abuse through a commitment that is comprehensive and broad based. Our goals are as follows:
To educate individuals regarding the nature and causes of child abuse, and provide information concerning effective prevention strategies.
To advocate public policies and programs; which will enhance the quality of life for children and families.
To encourage and assist the coordination of child abuse prevention efforts.
To assist in the development of prevention efforts in Delaware County.
To become a clearinghouse for information about child abuse and neglect prevention.
To encourage every citizen to become involved in the efforts to prevent child abuse.
Our volunteers were involved in numerous community events during the past year, including: the Children’s Health Fair, Black Expo, Women’s Health Fair, Awareness Walk, Candlelight Vigil, and Senior Health Fair. Our Council holds fundraisers annually to raise funds for the committee in bettering the community and support of prevention programs.
